Israeli Army Announces Successful Test of ‘Naval Iron Dome’.

The Israeli army announced Monday that it successfully completed a series of tests on its Saar 6 “Magen” navy ship, designed to protect Israel’s natural gas infrastructure at sea.

The experiments were conducted in collaboration with Israeli state-owned company Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, and the aerospace industry.

One of the systems that was tested was the ‘C-Dome,’ which is the naval version of the Iron Dome system. According to the army’s statement, the tests simulated rocket and cruise missile fire, as well as drone attacks.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that the C-Dome system represents a “significant leap in [Israel’s] defense capabilities at sea” and enables the security establishment to “ensure its superiority and its operational freedom in the face of growing threats in the maritime arena.”
